2010 CANH Fishing Contest

The first ever CANH Fishing Contest took place July 31, on our own Beechwood Park Lake.  We had 38 participant children combined from the homes of Chelsea Village and from the Northfield Hills Condominiums.  Eighteen of the kids caught a total of 46 fish.  The largest was 6-3/4 inches, caught by Alex Anger which was good for the first place prize of $50.  Congratulations, Alex!!

The Sign-in Table.  Contestants can be seen fishing across the lake.

Most participants fished on the Coolidge Hwy side of the lake.

Here a contestant shows us his professional fish catching form.

Two helpers make participant necklaces showing how many fish were caught.

After the contest, all participants, their parents and the staff enjoyed pizza in the clubhouse.

We also served chips and drinks.

The prize winners!  From left to right are Nate Krajewski - 3rd place, Luke Markley - 2nd place, and Alex Anger - 1st place winner.  Congratulations to all three and a special thank you to all the contestants, parents and staff members who helped out.  The Board of Directors has voted to make this contest an annual event, so see you next year!
